Took a little road trip to Philly over the summer to celebrate Father’s Day and my dad’s birthday. To sum up our get away in just a few words: we ate, we took pictures, we charged our phones, and ate some more.
Last year in November, I convinced Phil to run with me! I know what you’re probably thinking, no, I didn’t force him. 😉 But if he’s only going to run 1 half marathon ever, I definitely wanted it to be us running in Disney together! I had so much fun, despite the really early mornings, 3:45am!! Yeah, us runners are crazy. But the feeling you get crossing the finish line and knowing that a medal is waiting for you kind of makes it all worth it. And if you didn’t know already, I love Disney. There’s nothing like being in a magical place celebrating love, life, and amazing friends (Tiffany and Karla – we’re so happy they drove to Orlando to hang out with us)! Can’t believe our long awaited trip has finally came and went. I had a blast. We ate, we laughed, we played.. we almost got stranded in Honduras and so much more. I’m glad we were all able to get closer, build bonds, and have many memories to look back on. I’m extremely thankful to be part of this trip with such a wonderful group of friends. Thank You God. While I was in Miami, I flew with my grandma to LA to visit my aunt, while my mom met all of us there. I haven’t been to LA since I was 7 years old so I was excited to be back. Jess, Victor, Phil and I had been talking about taking a trip to Miami for months. We kept our eyes on plane tickets and housing options and as soon as we saw the prices drop, we booked it.. It was my mom’s first time in Boston. We boarded an 8:10am Megabus in the city and arrived around 12pm in time for lunch. One day eating adventure in Boston with mom begins.. Legal Sea Foods // Yay for annual $1 Chowda Day. Appetizer: 1-1/2 lbs. of sauteed mussels with garlic, white wine and crushed red pepper. Main: Seafood casserole (scallops, shrimp and whitefish baked with cheese and sherry garlic butter), and mashed potatoes.
