Poke is one of my favorites. So I’m glad there’s Poketown in Chinatown located conveniently for me to satisfy my cravings easily after church or before the gym. You can’t see the fish since it’s buried underneath all the other yummy things, but generally it’s chunky and fresh the way it should be! As most poke places, they have options you can choose from or you can create your own. For what they charge, they’re pretty generous with their toppings and mix-ins compared to some other places I’ve visited in NY. I honestly think Poketown has been getting progressively better since they’ve opened; in terms of service, quality of their ingredients and their prices. Yeah, it may be a little pricey for Chinatown but I’m still a fan of this place. They are very friendly every time which is always a plus!
I tend to always get a spiralized zucchini and greens bowl with scottish salmon and bigeye tuna, with whatever mix-ins I’m feeling that day. I’ve yet to try their poke burrito even though every time I’m there, I tell myself I will try it next time!
